From Tuition Class To Hyderabad: How Social Media Helped In Locating 12-Year Bengaluru Boy In Nampally Metro
A 12-year-old boy named Parinav, who went missing in Whitefield, Bengaluru, has been traced to Hyderabad on Wednesday. He was successfully located at Nampally Metro Station in Hyderabad at 6:45 AM today. His parents, Sukesh and Nivedita, wasted no time and have already left for Hyderabad to reunite with their son.
Parinav, a sixth-grade student at Deens Academy of Gunjur, disappeared on Sunday, January 21, after leaving his tuition class. According to reports, there was an issue concerning the boy in his class, and his parents were promptly notified about the matter. His movements were captured on CCTV at various locations, providing crucial information to aid in the search.

Local Community Efforts
Local residents played a crucial role by visiting areas where Parinav was spotted on CCTV, meticulously combing through neighborhoods, and actively participating in the search efforts. Their dedication and community spirit contributed significantly to the successful resolution of this case.
Social Media Campaigns
In addition to the on-ground efforts, a series of social media campaigns were launched to raise awareness and gather information about Parinav's whereabouts. The online community rallied together, sharing the boy's details and images, which played an important role in spreading the word and facilitating his safe recovery.
Parinav's father dropped him off at Allen Tutorial class in Whitefield on that day, but due to a delay, he arrived late, finding that Parinav had already left the class. Despite extensive efforts to locate him, Parinav's current whereabouts remained unknown, prompting the registration of a missing case at Whitefield Police Station.
Timeline of his movements
CCTV footage from Kaveri Hospital, located between Kundalahalli Gate and Marathahalli Bridge, showed Parinav's movements at 2:30 pm. Subsequently, he was seen boarding a Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus at Marathahalli around 3:04 pm.
Further investigations revealed that Parinav got down at Marathahalli Market and, upon inquiry with the bus conductor, it was reported that the boy had limited money. Despite the conductor offering to cover the fare, Parinav insisted on alighting. At approximately 3:11 pm, he was recorded walking near a petrol bunk in Yamlur. He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt with dark pants and carrying a school bag.
In a recent development, it has been confirmed that Parinav has been traced to Hyderabad. The circumstances of his presence in Hyderabad and his well-being are yet to be disclosed. Authorities are working on reuniting him with his family, and further details will be shared as the investigation progresses.
