This achievement is a testament to the country's rich ice cream heritage and its ability to create unique and delicious frozen treats.
Leading the way is Mumbai's K. Rustom & Co., a beloved institution since 1953, which has gained fame for its mouthwatering ice cream sandwiches. The mango ice cream sandwich, with its perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors encased in crispy wafers, has captured hearts and minds worldwide.

Bengaluru's Corner House takes the spotlight with its legendary "Death by Chocolate," an indulgent sundae that layers cake, ice cream, chocolate sauce, nuts, and a cherry on top. Taste Atlas describes Corner House as one of Bengaluru's most beloved dessert destinations, praising its "death by chocolate" sundae for its rich and intense chocolate flavor.
India's other iconic ice creams include Natural Ice Cream's tender coconut flavor from Mumbai, which offers a refreshing burst of tropical flavor; Apsara Ice Creams' guava ice cream from Bengaluru, which showcases India's diverse palate with its tangy flavor; and Pabba's Gadbad from Mangaluru, a riot of mixed flavors that captures the essence of Indian celebrations.
