Eggs Hurled At Bengaluru BJP MLA Munirathna, Accuses Congress Of Plotting His Murder
Eggs were thrown at Bengaluru's RR Nagar MLA Munirathna, who was recently granted bail in a rape case, while he was attending an event in his constituency.
The incident occurred as Munirathna was walking towards his car after the event, surrounded by police personnel and his security detail. Some miscreants hurled eggs at him before fleeing the scene.

Munirathna's security and the police quickly responded, escorting him to his vehicle.
The MLA was rushed to the hospital following the attack and accused the Congress party of plotting to kill him.
He stated, "It is evident that the Congress party is trying to kill me. DK Shivakumar is already laying a plan, and today's incident is the proof of their vile plan. He is unable to digest the defeat of his brother (DK Suresh) from Bengaluru Rural in the Lok Sabha elections."
Munirathna further blamed Kusuma, the wife of the late IAS officer DK Ravi, suggesting she could be behind the attack after losing the assembly elections to him.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru police detained three individuals suspected of being involved in the egg attack on the MLA.
A rape case was filed against Munirathna and others after a complaint was lodged by a 40-year-old woman, a social worker from Rajarajeshwari Nagar, who had been active in the BJP. The FIR was filed at Kaggalipura police station under various IPC sections, including 354A, 354C, 376, 506, 504, 120(b), 149, 384, 406, and 308.
In October, a special court in Bengaluru granted anticipatory bail to Munirathna and three other accused in the rape case.
