Earth Day: Let's do our bit for a greener, cleaner city

Celebrated every year on April 22, this year's theme for Earth Day is- Green Cities.
Earth Day was celebrated since 1970 and is now celebrated across 192 countries worldwide. Every year on this day many activities are organised in order to create awareness among the people. While some organise clean up drives, some plant trees and some try their bit to tackle the garbage problem.
In a city like Bangalore, garbage is one of the biggest problems that seems to bother us. Instead of depending on the local municiapl authorities, we must do our bit and start right at home by segregating the waste and disposing it off properly.
We must try to plan and implement those plans that will save mother earth from any more damage. So go out and do your bit, think, plan, use and reuse and lets bring back the greenery back to our city. Happy Earth Day!
