Dry Days In Bengaluru: When Will Liquor Ban Be Lifted In June?
Dry Days Alert In Bengaluru: In the first week of June, Bengaluru will experience multiple dry days due to the Karnataka Legislative Council elections, Lok Sabha Elections 2024 vote counting, and MLC elections results.
From June 1 to June 3, liquor sale will be prohibited in Bengaluru for the Karnataka Legislative Council elections. The MLC elections polling will take place on June 3, with vote counting on June 6. Liquor sale will be banned from 4 pm on June 1 to June 3.

On June 4, for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 vote counting, liquor sale will be banned from 12 am to 12 am. All shops, bars, hotels, restaurants, and taverns will remain closed, although restaurants and hotels can serve food and non-alcoholic beverages.
The order for the liquor ban was issued by Bengaluru city police commissioner, B Dayananda, under section 135(c) of the Karnataka Excise Statutes (General Clauses) Rules, 1967 and Rule-10(b) of the Government and Representation of the People Act, 1951.
After the Lok Sabha Elections result is announced, liquor sales will be banned on June 6 due to the MLC elections result announcement on the same day.
The frequent liquor bans in June are expected to impact people who enjoy evenings out and may also affect liquor sales and the hotel and restaurant businesses in Bengaluru.
