Drug Test Failure Leads To Telugu Actress Hema's Arrest In Bengaluru Rave Party Case

Telugu actress Hema was arrested on Monday in connection with the Bengaluru rave party incident after being questioned by the Central Crime Branch (CCB).

The CCB had summoned Hema to its office, where she appeared wearing a burqa to conceal her identity. Unsatisfied with her responses, the authorities decided to arrest her.

The rave party took place on May 19 at a farmhouse near Electronic City. On May 22, at least 86 attendees tested positive for drug consumption, sparking controversy over the rampant drug use at the event.

The Anti-Narcotics Division of the Karnataka Police raided the party, which had about 100 attendees, including 73 men and 30 women, among them two Telugu actors: Hema and Ashi Roy.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda stated that blood samples from the guests were sent to a laboratory for testing. He added, "On the night of May 19, Bengaluru Police's CCB, acting on specific information, raided a farmhouse at Electronic City. Around 100 people were at the event where drugs and narcotic substances were found."

The rave, conducted between 5 pm on May 18 and 6 am on May 19, was reportedly a birthday party organized by a Hyderabad-based individual named Vasu.

During the raid, police seized MDMA (Ecstasy) pills, MDMA crystals, hydro cannabis, cocaine, high-end cars, and DJ equipment, including sound and lighting, worth Rs 1.5 crore.
