Bangalore, April 7: With the support for Congress' Bangalore South Candidate increasing in leaps and bounds, Sunday saw a group of youngsters break into a flash mob at Royal Meenakshi Mall on Bannerghatta road.
The youth, a mix of students and young professionals, were dancing in support of Nandan Nilekani, the Congress candidate from Bangalore South in the upcoming Loksabha elections.
The twenty somethings danced on popular songs like Rang De Basanti and ended it with a passionate appeal to the excited shoppers to vote for Nandan Nilekani as he was an inspiration to the youth and a highly accomplished individual much needed for Indian politics.
Jai, one of the dancers and a student of Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies said "Nandan has created so many opportunities for the youth of our city and country through Infosys. I want people like him to represent us."
The performance was much appreciated by the shoppers and many came by to congratulate the group for their initiative.
One shopper said "It's great to see the youth of this city participate in the elections so actively. Nandan Nilekani does seem to have inspired several people. I wish him all the best."
