A purported video of Pavithra Gowda shouting at a man as she was taken into custody has surfaced online. In the video, the actress, who was arrested following the cancellation of bail by the Supreme Court in Renuka Swamy murder case, is seen losing her cool.

As per a report in Public TV, she yelled at a cop for recording as she came out of her house. "Please stop recording..." the annoyed actress yelled, slapping her head in frustration.

Kannada superstar Darshan Thoogudeepa and Pavithra Gowda were arrested on Friday after the Supreme Court cancelled their bail in the Renuka Swamy murder case.

Darshan tried to come to his wife Vijayalakshmi's Hosakerehalli apartment through the back gate in a decoy car while his flashy red SUV rolled in through the front door.

Before his arrest, the actor was at his friend's farmhouse in Kodagu and even attended a horse fair near the Tamil Nadu border.

After medical checks, Darshan, Pavithra, and three others were whisked to a judge's residence in Koramangala under heavy security-with fans mobbing the streets to catch a glimpse of their fallen hero.

The five accused were later locked up at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.

"We considered the grant of bail as well as cancellation, and it is evident that the high court order reflects a mechanical exercise of power. The grant of bail will impact the trial, and the witnesses can be influenced," the Supreme Court said.

In June 2024, Darshan, Pavithra Gowda and 15 others were arrested in connection with the murder of Renuka Swamy.

Renuka Swamy had reportedly sent lewd messages to Pavithra Gowda. The aides of the actor kidnapped him from Chitradurga before brutally murdering him in a shed.
