Did Bengaluru CEO Suchana Seth Visit Goa With Her Son Just Before The Alleged Murder?

Disturbing details have emerged in the tragic murder case involving Suchana Seth, the CEO of the Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence start-up Mindful AI Lab, accused of killing her four-year-old son, in Candolim, North Goa.

Several media reports have revealed chilling details, stating that Seth, accompanied by her child, had visited Goa just a week before the alleged murder. According to reports, Suchana Seth stayed in South Goa for five days, from December 31 to January 4, at a service apartment.

After departing for Bengaluru on January 4, she returned to Goa on January 6 in the evening. On the same day, at around 11:30 pm, she checked into the Sol Banyan Grande service apartment.

Suchana Seth 'Smothered' Son 36 Hours Earlier

Meanwhile, a postmortem report of the boy was conducted, revealing that he had passed away approximately 36 hours earlier. This information suggests that the accused, Suchana Seth, may have committed the crime within two hours of checking into the service apartment.

On Tuesday, Karnataka Police arrested Suchana Seth in Chitradurga district while she was attempting to escape in a cab, concealing her son's lifeless body in a bag. During checkout, she had requested a hotel staff member for a taxi to Bengaluru. However, upon cleaning the room, the staff discovered red stains, presumed to be blood, prompting an immediate report to the police, as revealed by Nidhin Valsan, Superintendent of Police, North Goa.

False Claims and Shocking Discovery
Subsequent police inquiry exposed Seth's false assertion that she had left her son at a friend's place in Goa. Inspection of the luggage in the taxi revealed the horrifying truth - the lifeless body of the young boy.

Six-Day Police Remand
An FIR was filed, resulting in a six-day police remand, followed by a court appearance where Suchana Seth was remanded for an additional five days. Her next court appearance is scheduled for January 19.

Recreation of the Crime Scene
The Calangute Police, as part of the ongoing investigation, took Seth to the service apartment to recreate the crime scene, adding depth to the probe.

Marriage and Divorce: Legal Battle Between the Estranged Couple
Suchana Seth, the CEO of a Bengaluru startup, had married Raman in 2010. After their divorce in 2020, court-allowed Sunday visits granted Raman access to their four-year-old son. Raman, hailing from Kerala, recorded his statement at Goa's Calangute police station on Saturday, confronting the accused Suchana Seth and shedding light on the complex family dynamics entwined in this tragic saga.
