Demonetisation: Karnataka politician's son caught with unaccounted money
Police seized two cars that were being used to transport cash without proper documentation in Batavadi of Tumkur
Bengaluru, Dec 16: A Karnataka politician's son was caught transporting unaccounted money in Tumkur on Friday. The local police arrested Jagadish, son of former Chikkaballapur MLA Muniyappa along with two others.
The police also seized two cars that were being used to transport cash without proper documentation in Batavadi of Tumkur. Rs 19.70 lakh was recovered from one of the cars along with documents pertaining to the Chikkaballapur Zilla Panchayat.

Out of the cash that was recovered, Rs 17.90 lakh was in new Rs 2,000 denominations, Rs 1 lakh in Rs 500 notes and Rs 8,0000 in Rs 100 notes. No cash was found in the second car that was intercepted.
Primary investigations revealed that the trio was returning to Tumkur with cash to exchange the same. A case has been registered in this regard and investigations are on.
