Demonetisation: Kannada writer abuses PM, receives flak

Dayanand TK, a Kannada writer and film maker has come under severe fire on social networking sites after he hurled obscenities against Prime Minister Modi in a series of Facebook posts and comments.

The writer was expressing displeasure over the inconvenience caused to the public due to demonetisation. His choice of words was vehemently questioned by many who responded to his posts and comments as being crass and indecent. Some have even shared screenshots of his posts and comments on the Bengaluru Police Facebook page demanding action against the writer for expletives and profanity.

The writer resorted to name calling in his posts, all written in Kannada, as he showered abuses on the Prime Minister and his supporters over demonetisation. Quoting a newspaper report, the writer held the government responsible for loss of 12 lives across the country, as he claimed, due to inconveniences caused by demonetisation.
