Darshan Murder Case: Renuka Swamy's Wife Gives Birth To Baby Boy

Sahana, the wife of Renuka Swamy, murdered by the aides of Kannada actor Darshan, has given birth to a baby boy on Wednesday.

She has given birth at a private hospital in Chitradurga on the early hours of Wednesday. As per the reports in the media, she is delivered the baby before the due date and the newborn has been kept under observation.

It comes four months after the brutal murder of her husband Renuka Swamy.

He was kidnapped from Chitrdurga by the aides of Darshan, and brutally assaulted at a shed in Pattangere leading to his death. His body was then dumped near a drainage.

Initially, three people surrendered before the cops claiming that they killed him over a financial dispute. As the investigation began, the cops found some links to them with actor Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda.

As per the chargesheet, Renuka Swamy used to send lewd messages to Pavithra. Frustrated with his repeated obscene messages, she decided to teach him a lesson which eventually led to his death.

In this murder case, Pavithra Gowda and Darshan are accused number one and two, respectively. However, their bail pleas have been rejected by the 57th CCH Court.

A total of 17 have been charged with the murder.

However, Sahana, who was five months pregnant at the time of her husband's murder, had earlier demanded justice for her over the incident. "We married a year ago and I am expecting a baby. My husband's death in such a situation has left me shattered. How can I lead my life now?" she asked daily.

According to her, he had called her before being kidnapped by her. She said, "My husband called me on June 8 afternoon. If my husband had sent derogatory messages on social media, he should have been given a warning. What was the need to kill him. Whether he is an actor (Darshan) or a star, I want justice."
