COVID19 Guidelines for Karnataka Schools: What Parents and Students Need to Know
With schools in Karnataka getting ready to reopen in June, the government has shared new safety rules to protect students and teachers from COVID-19.

The rules come after a meeting led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on May 26 to check the current COVID-19 situation in the state.
Key points for schools to follow:
- If children have symptoms like fever, cough, or cold, they should not be sent to school. They should see a doctor and only come back once they are fully healthy.
- If a child starts showing symptoms at school, the school must inform the parents immediately and send the child home.
- Teachers and other school staff must also stay home if they feel sick.
- Schools must encourage good habits like washing hands properly and covering the mouth when coughing to stop the spread of the virus.
The government wants everyone - schools, parents, and students - to be careful and follow these rules strictly to keep everyone safe.
With COVID-19 cases still coming in and the rainy season starting, it's important to stay alert and healthy.
