'Convert To Islam Or Die': Mujahideen-Linked Threat Emails Rattle Bengaluru Schools? Police Investigate
A series of bomb threat emails targeted 15 private schools in Bengaluru, prompting an immediate response from city police. The unsettling emails, purportedly sent by a group identifying themselves as Mujahideen, contained ominous warnings, urging recipients to convert to Islam and threatening violence against them and their children. The sender's email ID, "[email protected]," was used to send these alarming messages.
The email's contents included threatening language such as 'Convert To Islam Or Die Under The Weight Of The Sword Of Islam,' culminating with the phrase 'Allahu Akbar'. Despite police efforts, the origin of these threatening emails remains elusive, prompting a comprehensive investigation.

The anonymous emails, sent from an unknown origin, have heightened tensions in the city, which has been grappling with Hindu-Muslim tensions in recent times. The aggressive tone of the emails, which is more severe than previous bomb threat calls received by schools, has caused widespread panic among parents and students.
Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar has assured the public that stern action will be taken against the perpetrators of the threats, emphasizing the need for parents and students to remain calm.

Ashok and MLA Suresh Kumar, visited the NAFL school in Basaveshwara Nagar to gather information and assess the situation following the bomb threats, according to media reports. Suresh Kumar expressed concern over the violent language used in the recent emails, drawing parallels to a previous incident involving a student sending a threatening mail.
Expressing deep concern, Ashok emphasized the religious undertones and extremism evident in the threatening email. He stressed the urgency of swift action against the culprits, likening the email's contents to those of a high-level terrorist. With bomb and dog squads deployed, thorough checks have been undertaken at the affected schools, but no suspicious items have been found so far.
