"We have filed cases against four bars and pubs under the Junior Justice Act for serving alcohol to minors and permitting them to smoke. These raids were initiated in response to parental complaints. Additionally, we have also registered cases against certain bars under the Excise Act," stated Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B. Dayananda.

The Junior Justice Act is designed to address offenses committed by teenagers between the ages of 16 and 18. According to this legislation, teenagers in this age group who commit offenses are treated as adults when determining the penalties for their actions.

The CCB conducted surprise inspections in several areas, including Indiranagar, Koramangala, Ashok Nagar, and others. It was reported that minors used forged identification documents, including Aadhar cards and other documents, to gain entry to the bars and pubs.
