Celebs, politicians remember legendary singer Manna Dey

Bangalore, Oct 24: The whole country is grieving the death of legendary singer Manna Dey, who breathed his last on early Thursday morning.

Termed as the golden voice of the film industry, Dey has given the film industry songs which will be remembered for centuries. Some of his well known songs are Ek chatur naar from Padosan, Zindagi kaisi hai paheli from Anand, Aye Meri Zohrajabeen from Waqt and others.

Born as Prabodh Chandra Dey, he died at the age of 94. He was in and out of hospital since September.

As the news of Dey's death surfaced, many celebrities, politicians expressed their grief on social media. Many like Amitabh Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Narendra Modi and others expressed their feelings on Twitter.
