Caught On Camera: Speeding Car Runs Over 3 After Biker Takes Sudden U-Turn In Raichur

In a shocking hit-and-run incident captured by a CCTV camera, a speeding car collided with a bike rider and pedestrians in Raichur district of Karnataka. The accident took place on July 18 while it was drizzling, and the footage of the incident surfaced on social media on Wednesday.

The location of the accident was near Sri Ram Temple in Raichur. The CCTV footage, which lasted for over a minute, showed college girls walking beside the road as vehicles passed by. Suddenly, the biker identified as Shivaraj Patil made an abrupt U-turn on the road just as the car approached, resulting in a collision between the car and the bike, and also hitting two college girls. The car had little time to react and avoid the bike that unexpectedly changed direction.

The driver of the expensive car, identified as Jafar, was driving at high speed and crashed into the bike before hitting the college students who were walking on the footpath. After the accident, the driver fled the scene, leaving the victims behind.

People from nearby shops rushed to help the victims after the incident, but the car did not stop and sped away.

As per reports, the biker suffered critical injuries, while the students sustained minor wounds. The police have seized the car and initiated an investigation into the case. A case has been registered at the Raichur Traffic Police Station in connection with the incident.

Local residents mentioned that the stretch of road where the accident occurred lacked traffic signals or speed breakers. The images circulated show significant damage to both the car and the bike involved in the collision.

The Raichur traffic police have taken swift action, registering a case and impounding the car used in the hit-and-run accident. The bike involved in the incident was completely wrecked, and the front part of the Jaguar car responsible for the collision also sustained damage.
