Caught On Camera: Bengaluru Traffic Cop Catches Chain Snatcher Red-Handed

The Bengaluru Traffic cop has gone beyond the call of duty to nab a chain snatcher. The incident was captured on camera and the clip has now gone viral.

The incident occurred on January 1. The official Twitter handle of Bengaluru Police Commissioner shared the video and said, "Bengaluru Traffic Police doing their bit on new year day to capture a chain snatcher red hand. As captured in their Body Worn Camera!"

In the clip, the traffic cop catches the chain snatcher who tries to escape from the spot through his auto. When encountered, he is seen throwing the chain.

The incident was caught on body camera used by the cop.

However, it is not clear in which area the incident occurred and what action has been taken against the culprit.

The third user commented, "Kudos to the Police staff who took quick action."

Another user reacted, "Confidence level of the snatcher🤦🏻‍♂️... if police wasn't there, then he can even snatch a chain on the face and stand in front without being confronted be the people around." The fifth netizen added, "all traffic police should have body camera--will help them and system to catch offenders."

The sixth one said, "Quick effort by the cops, the thief got caught because of over confidence. It seem he has done this several times before and escaped. The cops should hand cuff as soon as they found proof but the way they holding him, he could have escaped."
