Police officials tell oneindia that following the call, the situation around the Chief Minister’s residence was reviewed. Security has been stepped up and a tight vigil is being maintained the officer also informed.

Could be a hoax:
The call which came to the control room on Wednesday could also be a hoax an officer stated. The caller threatened that he would blow up the residence of the Chief Minister.
While the police feel that it could be a hoax call made to create a scare, they are also leaving nothing to chance. Measures have been undertaken to step up security and also track down the caller, an officer informed.
The police say that the threat perception in the state especially in Bengaluru is high. Terrorists would be looking to target high profile locations is what an Intelligence Bureau intercept suggests.
