Bomb Threat Email At Bengaluru Airport Amid Aero India 2025 Sparks Security Concerns
A bomb threat email sent to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on February 8 triggered security concerns as the Aero India 2025 event commenced in the city on Monday.
According to officials, the email, sent from [email protected], warned of a drone attack targeting incoming flights at Bengaluru and Chennai airports. The message read:

"THERE WILL BE A DRONE ATTACK ON LANDING FLIGHTS IN BANGALORE, CHENNAI OR KERALA AIRPORT IF I DID NOT GET ANY ANSWER FOR MY LETTER FROM BASAVARAJ BOMMAI (MP EX CHIEF MINISTER KARNATAKA)."
The threat prompted an immediate response from airport security and law enforcement agencies. The airport police have registered an FIR under sections 125 (endangering the safety of others), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 353 (public mischief) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Authorities have launched an investigation to trace the sender and assess the credibility of the threat. Security measures at KIA and other key airports have been heightened in light of the incident.
