Bomb Scare At Raj Bhavan: Bengaluru Police Launch Manhunt To Trace Hoax Caller's Location

An unidentified caller on Monday night contacted Raj Bhavan, stating that a bomb had been planted within the premises. Responding swiftly, the bomb detection team hurried to the location and conducted a thorough search, concluding that the call was a hoax. Vidhana Soudha Police Station has filed a case regarding the incident.

Around 11:30 pm that same Monday, an unidentified caller issued a bomb threat to Raj Bhavan, withholding their identity before abruptly ending the call.

Raj Bhavan's security promptly alerted law enforcement, prompting a swift response from the police along with anti-sabotage and bomb detection units.

After an extensive search spanning several hours, authorities confirmed the absence of any suspicious items within the vicinity. Vidhana Soudha Police have initiated an investigation to trace the caller's location.

In a separate incident, Bengaluru witnessed 27 schools receiving hoax bomb threat emails on December 1 between 6-9 am, causing distress among parents and students. Extensive searches were conducted, ultimately clearing the schools of any potential threats.

Subsequently, Bengaluru Police filed 27 First Information Reports (FIRs) and reached out to the email service provider, beeble.com, for information about the sender. While a response was received, it was reportedly insufficient, prompting ongoing communication with the service provider.

Additionally, Bengaluru Police have sought assistance from the Central Bureau of Investigation's Interpol division regarding certain aspects of the case.

The emails sent to multiple schools referenced the 2008 Mumbai attack, stating, "Convert to Islam or face the sword of Islam."
