B'lore: AAP calls onto citizens, urges them to join walk on October 2

'Walk for Democracy' on October 2
Bangalore, Oct 1: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Karnataka in the wake of the Cabinet passing the ordinance on convicted netas, will be organising a a walk here called 'Walk for Democracy' on October 2.

Karnatka's ex-Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde will flag off the event.

AAP members urge everyone to stand up against these tainted and corrupt officials and demand that the laws must not allow any corrupt officials to remain elected representatives.

Through this walk they wish to make certain policies transparent like making RTI compulsory for all political parties, election commission to be given full power to ensure that money used in elections is reduced and eventually eliminated.

Apart from this some other demands include, the easy registration of voters through post offices including colleges, transparency in declaring all funds by the political parties and more.

AAP to stand up against the ordinance and corrupt netas

The AAP along with the Loksatta party, NGOs and members of the civil society urge everyone to join this walk in order to ensure a fair election process.

The walk will be held on October 2, 9.30 am at the Gandhi Statue, MG Road and will conclude at the Gandhi Statue, near Anand Rao circle, Gandhinagar.
