Dinesh Amin Mattu, a senior journalist and currently Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's media advisor had kicked up a storm after he posted a controversial comment on facebook on Sunday.

Congress backs Mattu, refuses to comment on issue
Even as BJP is seeing red over Amin Mattu's comments, Karnataka Congress has backed him. "The BJP has been targeting him from day one. After Udupi chalo incident where he had taken a very prominent role. He has been on the radar of the BJP and RSS. It is a non-issue that does not mandate a comment", said Karnataka's legal advisor and Congressman Brijesh Kalappa
"It has got nothing to do with the party. He is an official and not a party worker. His comment, the words used seem to have come out wrong but his intent may not have been to threaten. It is wrong to compare Indira Gandhi with Narendra Modi since the situation was completely different then and now. It is possible that his statement was taken out of context", said KPCC's working President Dinesh Gundu Rao when asked if Amin Mattu's statement invoking Indira Gandhi made the congress uncomfortable.
