BESCOM Power Cut on October 24: Electricity Supply to Be Disrupted in Multiple Karnataka Districts

The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced a scheduled power cut on October 24, 2025, due to ongoing maintenance and infrastructure upgrade works across parts of Chintamani and Tumakuru. The planned outage will help relocate electric poles, transformers, and lines that are obstructing development projects.

Power Cut in Chintamani

According to BESCOM, from October 23 to 31, electricity supply will be disrupted daily between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM in several areas of Chintamani as engineers relocate 11 kV and secondary line poles, transformers, and cables to support road development and pedestrian pathway expansion.

Areas affected on October 24 include:
Bengaluru Road, Kanampalli, Prabhakar Layout, Gundappa Layout, Anjani Layout, Royal Circle, Taluk Office, City Municipal Council, Court, Ashraya Layout, Kempamma Layout, Venkatagiri Fort, Filter Bed Circle, Tank Bund Road, Teachers Colony, Thimmasandra (Ward No. 31), and Bagepalli Circle.

Assistant Executive Engineer D.G. Shivashankar urged residents to take safety precautions and cooperate with BESCOM staff during the scheduled works.

Power Cut in Tumakuru

In Tumakuru district, under the BESCOM Kyatsandra sub-division, a link line repair will take place on October 24 and 25, resulting in power cuts between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Villages affected include:
Holakallu, Hullenahalli, Virupasandra, Neralapura, Sasalu, and Maskal.

BESCOM has advised consumers to plan their activities accordingly and cooperate with the maintenance teams to ensure smoother power restoration.
