Bengaluru's New Navigation App To Identify Roadblocks, Potholes And More
Bengaluru, known as Silicon City, has always been at the forefront of embracing innovation and new technology, attracting people from across the country. The city is now embracing another innovation as a new navigation app is set to launch, offering convenience to commuters and providing comprehensive guidance to travelers in Bengaluru.
The Bangalore Traffic Police Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mappls MapmyIndia, a company specializing in mapping solutions. The app, developed by Mappls MapmyIndia, is set to be released to the public soon, aiming to streamline traffic management and enhance commuter experience.

What is in the new app?
The new app is expected to offer several benefits, including real-time navigation, information on traffic congestion, road closures, best routes, and road conditions. It is positioned as an alternative to Google Maps, offering added convenience to travelers and assisting traffic police in managing traffic flow by providing insights into traffic patterns, roadblocks, potholes, and ongoing road repairs.
"This new app will not only benefit commuters but also aid traffic police in controlling traffic by providing real-time traffic updates. It will also help in identifying roadblocks, potholes, and roads under repair," stated a senior police officer, highlighting the app's potential impact on traffic management in Bengaluru.
