Bengaluru's Most Memed Apartment Gets A Taker, A CEO Moves In

Remember that 2BHK apartment located in Bengaluru on the bustling Indiranagar 80 feet road? It was situated right next to the Lazy Suzy café and directly opposite 12th main. This apartment became the center of a memefest on social media platform X (formerly twitter) back in September, thanks to a software engineer with the username @Bharath_MG.

He initially intended to rent it out but raised the rent after his listing went viral and garnered widespread attention. Now, the apartment that earned the title of the "most memed" has finally found a tenant. Mayank Kale, the co-founder and CEO of Loop Health, shared his relocation update on X, and unsurprisingly, the post quickly gained traction online.

He also shared a picture of the aesthetically pleasing flat that had been the subject of so much internet humor just a month ago. In the caption of his post, Kale wrote, "@peakbengaluru move update - I won the most memed apartment in the city."

Naturally, Kale's post caught the attention of numerous online users, who flocked to the comments section to share their amusing thoughts and questions.

One user inquired, "Congrats! What was harder, the YC interview or the one that the owner took for this house?" Another user playfully asked, "How does it feel to be God's favorite?"

A third user chimed in with, "No one's forgetting this space in a long, long time. Have a great stay in this lovely apartment."

Surprised by the apartment's existence, a fourth user questioned, "Wait, so this house actually exists?"

While some inquired about the rent, others drew comparisons to a set from a Wes Anderson film. "Looks like a set from a Wes Anderson movie. And the teapot adds to the aesthetic," remarked one person. Another user jokingly asked, "How many bitcoins did you pay as a deposit?"

Initially, the rent for this viral apartment in Bengaluru was set at Rs 45,000. However, after @Bharath_MG's listing garnered a lot of attention, it was increased to Rs 55,000. Following the post becoming the basis of a viral meme, the software engineer decided to take it down.

The whole "renting out a flat" scenario in Bengaluru has been quite bizarre, and it has sparked numerous discussions on social media. From landlords making rental decisions based on Class 12th marks to requesting LinkedIn profiles from potential renters, the city has seen its fair share of peculiar rental experiences.
