The cyclonic storm is likely to cross the coast in Andhra Pradesh on the forenoon of Tuesday lay near Chennai and Puducherry. As the coastal town battered by rains, Bengaluru is witnessing a cold weather. A Prasad, a scientist at the India Meteorological Department, told Bangalore Mirror: "Bengaluru can expect cloudy weather for the next few days with the possibility of rainfall. The temperature will fluctuate between 27 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius, but anticipate winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph, potentially ushering in a cold wave for one or two days."

The report, citing the Varuna Mitra portal, said that there was a noticeable drop in temperature in Bengaluru on Sunday evening. Mahadevapura recorded temperatures between 19 degrees Celsius and 23.9 degrees Celsius on Sunday, Yelahanka experienced a range of 19.6 to 24.4 degrees Celsius, and Dasarahalli saw temperatures ranging from 20 to 24.5 degrees Celsius.

    Can Bengalurians expect rains due to Cyclone Michaung?

    The Regional Meteorological Department has predicted that Bengaluru might get "light rain" for the next two days. "Generally cloudy sky. Light rain very likely. Mist very likely during early morning hours in some areas. Maximum & Minimum temperatures very likely to be around 24 and 20 Degree Celsius respectively," it said in a daily press release.

    Heavy rains continued to pound the city and nearby districts on Monday under the impact of a cyclonic storm, which is likely to cross the coast in Andhra Pradesh on December 5.

    Low-lying areas and many residential parts witnessed inundation, even as civic agency personnel were involved in clearing the stagnant water.

    Several areas in the city saw power outages and internet disruptions as torrential rains accompanied by squally winds continued to lash the region.
