Bengaluru Weather Alert: Will It Rain Today Evening?
After Intense rain battered Bengaluru on Monday evening, severe waterlogging was witnessed in parts of the Garden City on Tuesday. This resulted in traffic jams.
The waterclogging was reported in several areas including in Manyata Tech Park, Seshadripuram. On this issue, Bengaluru Traffic Police issued an advisory and said that it is working tirelessly to resolve the situation.

"Due to waterlogging near Bellanduru Kodi, vehicles and commuters were stuck in the midst of the flood. With the assistance of a tractor, our Inspector sir and team successfully rescued all commuters and pedestrians," HAL airport traffic police BTP said on X.
Advising commuters to avoid the route, Traffic police said, "Still this route is not in a condition to use for commuters so please avoid this route and use Outer Ring Road as an alternative."
Intense rain showers battered sections of the city on Monday evening, causing disruptions in daily routines. Motorists encountered flooded roads during their commute back home from work. The city has experienced consistent moderate to heavy rainfall since Sunday evening.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow alert for the city on Tuesday, predicting ongoing moderate to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
Will The City Get Rains Today?
As per the KSNDMC's latest press release, widespread moderate rainfall is likely over the BBMP catchment areas today. The Mahadevapura Zone, Bommanahalli Zone, RR Nagara Zone, West Zone, and East Zone are to receive moderate rainfall on Tuesday while the Yelahanka zone will get light rainfall.
On the other hand, the IMD has said that Bengaluru might get moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers at times. "Generally cloudy sky. Light to moderate rain/thundershowers heavy at times very likely towards evening/night. Maximum and Minimum temperatures very likely to be around 29 and 21 Degree Celsius respectively," it said in a statement.
As per the Weather.com predictions, there are chances of thunderstorms accompanied by hazy weather. The temperature is anticipated to reach a low of around 20°C and there is a 60% chance of rain.
Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted light to moderate rain to occur in many places over Coastal and South Interior Karnataka. However, dry weather is likely to prevail over North Interior part of the state.
