Bengaluru Water Cut On February 20: Which Areas Will Face Water Supply Disruption?
Bengaluru water cut: Residents in several areas will experience a temporary water supply disruption on Thursday, February 20, due to ongoing work on the fourth phase of the Cauvery Water Supply Project. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has issued an official notice regarding the scheduled outage.
Duration of Water Supply Disruption

According to the BWSSB, the maintenance work will be conducted near Jeevika Hospital in Marathahalli from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Thursday. As a result, water supply will remain suspended in several parts of the city during this period.
Affected Areas
The areas that will be impacted by the water supply disruption include:
Marathahalli, Doddanekundi, Munnekolalu, OMBR Layout, HRBR Layout, Sigehalli, Battarahalli, Medahalli, T.C. Palya, Vijinapura
Bellandur, Yamalur, Murugesh Palya, Chokkanahalli, C.V. Raman Nagar, Indiranagar, Thippasandra, Jeevan Bima Nagar, and surrounding localities.
The BWSSB Chairman has urged residents in the affected areas to store sufficient water in advance to avoid inconvenience during the outage.
In light of the upcoming summer season and concerns over potential water shortages, the BWSSB has also reinforced its water conservation measures. The board has warned that strict penalties will be imposed on those found wasting water unnecessarily or using drinking water for non-essential purposes. These measures were previously implemented last summer and are now being reintroduced to prevent a water crisis.
Residents are advised to use water judiciously and cooperate with the authorities as the city undergoes critical infrastructure work.
