Bengaluru Traffic Jam: Tumkur (Sira)-Bengaluru Route Jammed As Holiday Commuters Return
After the four-day Diwali break, Bengaluru's already congested roads experienced severe traffic jams, particularly around Majestic and on the Chitradurga-Sira (Tumkur)-Bengaluru stretch. The mass return of vehicles to the city overwhelmed road infrastructure, leading to long delays and immense frustration for commuters.
A massive traffic jam has developed between Sira and Bengaluru, affecting thousands of travelers. All major choke points on this route have been hit hard, with traffic speeds struggling to exceed 10 km/h. In many areas, the traffic has slowed to a crawl, with queues of vehicles stretching up to 3-5 kilometers.

The congestion has not only led to extended travel times but has also left drivers and passengers exhausted. Contributing factors include the high volume of holiday traffic, ongoing infrastructure projects, and narrow road stretches at critical points. Emergency vehicles and essential services are also experiencing significant delays, adding to the urgency for improved traffic management on this busy route.
Meanwhile, heavy traffic near Kunigal Bypass eased by alert Nelamangala police amid rain; commuters can travel confidently.
It must be noted that there were not much traffic seen in Bengaluru.
For residents and travelers alike, the gridlock highlights the need for immediate infrastructure upgrades and more efficient traffic control measures to accommodate the city's increasing vehicular load. As Bengaluru's population and vehicle numbers continue to rise, addressing these roadblocks will be essential to prevent further disruptions.
