Bengaluru Traffic Jam: Heavy Congestion Near Madiwala, Hosur Due To VVIP Movements; Commuters Stuck

VVIP movement in Bengaluru once again led to traffic snarls, leaving commuters at the receiving end. Heavy traffic jams occurred on Hosur, Madiwala, as well as on St. John's signal, a notorious intersection for prolonged traffic jams. Although the heavy congestion was managed by the traffic police only for few hours for the VVIP movement, it led to long queues of vehicles on the road, which further led to traffic snarls.

The key junction, which connects Bannerghatta Road and Hosur Road, draws a constant stream of vehicles, resulting in bottlenecks that can cause hours of delay. With hundreds of vehicles converging at this point every minute, navigation becomes a daunting task for commuters.

Bengaluru Traffic Jam: Long Queues And Traffic Gridlock Near Hosur Make Commuting A Nightmare

The Bengaluru city police have been working diligently to alleviate the traffic issues and have deployed extra traffic cops.

Meanwhile, taking to X (formely Twitter) Bengaluru traffic police have also issued a traffic advisory warning commuters of slow-moving traffic due to a BMT bus off-road near the Madiwala underpass.

In light of the persisting traffic woes, commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, allowing extra travel time to accommodate potential delays. Seeking alternative routes or exploring public transportation options can help minimise the impact of the congestion.

It must be also noted that Draupadi Murmu is also in Bengaluru today to inaugurate the Foundation Week of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), as part of its golden jubilee celebrations. She will also interact with women entrepreneurs and officials of the N.S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) at IIM-B.

A social media user has expressed their frustration regarding the resumption of traffic disruptions due to VVIP movements in Bengaluru. ''Holding up traffic for VVIP movement in Bengaluru has started again. Signs of Congress culture. These guys will never change and they don't care for the public!!, he wrote.''
