Bengaluru Traffic Jam! Car Catches Fire At Outer Ring Road Near Doddanekundi
A vehicle caught fire on the Outer Ring Road near Doddanekundi in Bengaluru, causing significant traffic disruption on Tuesday night. As per reports, the incident occurred at around 7:30 pm when a white Maruti Suzuki Ertiga suddenly ignited, prompting the passengers to quickly exit the vehicle for safety.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, as confirmed by the traffic police. They suspect that a short circuit might have triggered the fire. The flames rapidly consumed most of the car, leaving it charred.

Fire Response and Traffic Impact
The fire control room received an alert at 7:30 pm and promptly dispatched a fire tender from Mahadevapura fire station. The firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze within an hour. However, by then, traffic had already backed up significantly, stretching as far as Iblur.
Due to the incident, a big traffic jam persisted for over an hour while fire safety officers worked to put out the flames and clear the vehicle from the road. This led to a slow resumption of traffic movement by 8:30 pm, with normal flow restored by 10 pm.
