Bengaluru Traffic: Heavy Rains Cause Major Traffic Snarl Along ORR, RMZ EcoWorld, Mahadevpura, Silk Board
Bengaluru's tech heart along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) witnessed a fresh wave of traffic chaos on Thursday evening. Heavy rains starting late afternoon triggered gridlock in areas like Mahadevpura, Bagmane Tech Park, and RMZ EcoWorld.
Commuters faced hours of delays, stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic. The frustration was palpable, with many expressing their disappointment with the authorities' inability to tackle Bengaluru's chronic traffic woes.

Akarsh, an employee at RMZ EcoWorld, spoke to OneIndia, recounting his ordeal. "I left the office at 4:30 pm, but I've been stuck in traffic for almost an hour and a half now," he said, reflecting the experience of many.
Social media platforms were flooded with complaints. Users reported taking up to two hours to cover minimal distances, highlighting the severity of the congestion.

It took 2 hours and 36 minutes to travel 18 km on ORR.
Advice:
Dont follow Google Maps when it rains. Stay on the main road; dont take the internal roads. Started at Doddanekundi, took ORR, and Google Maps directed towards Panathur Road. Got stuck for 50… pic.twitter.com/CL0W8TSLL4
Another user wrote,'' Bengaluru has some of the worst traffic and transportation reliability I've seen in the world. Been booking cabs for the last 1 hour on 5 different apps and still waiting for a cab. Late enough to miss my flight and already booking the next one.''

Bengaluru Weather Forecast
Bengaluru is likely to experience lean weather activity over the next week to ten days. Rainfall is expected to be very light and of brief duration, with some days possibly being completely dry. Cloudy sky conditions will prevail for most parts of the day, making the overall weather conditions pleasant for the city and its suburbs.
The tech city has been receiving only light showers for the past week, with single-digit rainfall recorded in 24-hour periods. This follows the very heavy rainfall and stormy conditions experienced on June 2. Bengaluru has already exceeded its monthly rainfall quota, accumulating 152.5 mm of rain so far against a monthly normal of 110.3 mm. In the next 7-10 days, the city can expect an additional 10-15 mm of rainfall.
