Bengaluru Traffic Alert: September 11 Traffic Restrictions For Ganesha Procession

A procession of Ganesh idols will take place on Wednesday (Sept. 11) from the Halasuru Traffic Police Station area, along the 80 Feet Road and 100 Feet Road in Indiranagar, and via Old Madras Road. Therefore, to facilitate smooth vehicle movement, the Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued a vehicular traffic restriction from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following day. Here are the route changes:

Traffic Restrictions:

• Traffic is restricted from Anjaneya Junction on Old Madras Road to Kensington Junction and Guru Dwara Junction.
• Traffic is closed from Gangadhara Chetty Road Junction at Nagamma Temple to Tiruvalavar Statue Junction.

Alternative Routes:

• Vehicles coming from 80 Feet Road and 100 Feet Road in Indiranagar should turn left at Anjaneya Junction and proceed via Swami Vivekananda Road, Adarsha Junction, Ramayya Junction, Kamadhenu Junction, and Trinity Junction.
• Vehicles coming from MG Road towards Old Madras Road should travel through Trinity Junction, Kamadhenu Junction, Swami Vivekananda Road, Ramayya Junction, Adarsha Junction, and turn right at Anjaneya Junction to continue on Old Madras Road.
• Vehicles coming from Cubbon Road should turn right at Manipal Junction, turn left at Web Junction, and proceed via Trinity Junction towards Swami Vivekananda Road.
• Vehicles coming from Halasuru Road should travel via Begum Mahal Junction and Bazaar Street, and proceed through Ramayya Junction.
• Vehicles coming from Dickenson Road towards Gangadhara Chetty Road should go through the Nagamma Temple Junction on St. John's Road, turn right at Sri Circle, continue via Ajanta Road, turn right at RBI Junction, turn left at Tiruvalavar Statue Junction, and proceed via Gangadhara Chetty Road.
