Bengaluru Traffic Alert: JC Road Closed for White-Topping Work Till August 30

Bengaluru commuters are facing fresh travel challenges as white-topping work continues on JC Road. From August 25 to August 30, 2025, the Bengaluru West Zone Traffic Police has restricted the movement of buses and heavy vehicles on this busy stretch near Minerva Circle.

The traffic police shared the update via an official tweet, asking commuters to use alternative routes during this period.

Which Vehicles Are Restricted?

Buses and heavy vehicles are not allowed on JC Road or towards Minerva Circle.

Two-wheelers, cars, and light vehicles may still face delays due to diversions and slow-moving road work.

Alternative Routes Suggested by Traffic Police

To ease congestion, traffic authorities have shared diversion routes:

Towards Majestic → via Rama Krishna Ashram, Bull Temple Road, Chamarajapet, Good Shed Road.

From Kalasipalya Bus Stand → via KR Road, Lalbagh West Gate, Ashoka Pillar, Siddhar Road to Hosur Road.

From Hosur Road to Majestic → via Richmond Circle, Hadnon Circle, and K.G. Road.

Many commuters have expressed frustration about the slow progress of white-topping work on JC Road, one of Bengaluru's busiest corridors. Traffic jams and diversions have increased travel time, with several citizens urging BBMP to complete the project quickly.
