Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Find Out Which Areas Are Affected And Roads Closed
Bengaluru is currently experiencing heavy rainfall that has significantly disrupted daily life throughout the city. The Central Business District (CBD), typically resilient to flooding, is now facing severe waterlogging and slow-moving traffic.
On Monday morning, following the downpour, the BBMP disaster management team worked to clear waterlogged areas along MG Road and other roads in the eastern zone of the city.

Key areas within the CBD, including MG Road, Richmond Road, Church Street, Cubbon Road, and Cunningham Road, are all affected.
A traffic advisory indicates that waterlogging is causing delays at several crucial points, such as Trinity Circle towards ASC Centre, the Cantonment railway bridge, and Deepanjali Nagar metro station. Additionally, slow traffic is reported on 80 Feet Road along the Srinivagilu main road due to water accumulation.
Residents in the CBD, as well as those in the South and Southeast regions, are experiencing consistent rains. Rain bands are causing widespread moderate rainfall in the West, Northwest, and parts of the CBD.

Schools Closed
The Bengaluru District Collector has declared a holiday for all schools and Anganwadis in the city as a precautionary measure, according to ANI.
This decision was made to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the ongoing weather conditions, which have led to waterlogging and traffic disruptions across multiple areas of Bengaluru.
However, no holiday has been declared for degree courses, postgraduate programs, diplomas, engineering, or ITIs. The announcement was made verbally due to the urgency of the situation, with an official order expected to be issued soon.
