Bengaluru: StartupCuration's "Campus Disrupt" a huge success

Bengaluru, June 30: StartupCuration.com, a marketplace for startups to showcase their business, organised their first Campus Disrupt event at Indus Business Academy, Bengaluru on Saturday, June 27.

Fast growing start up companies like Reverie, Mocept, DriveKool.com, Flutura.com, Robocraze.com and HungryBells.Mobi along with Ashok Madarahavally, Senior Manager, Nasscom and head of Nasscom 10,000 startups initiative, participated in the event and interacted with a crowd of 200+ students from B Schools, Indus Business Academy and IFIM Business School.

Students soaked themselves in the entrepreneurship talks by the speakers who spoke about their entrepreneurial journey.

Ashok Madarahavally, Senior Manager, NASSCOM who leads the initiative 10,000 startups was the keynote speaker. He said, "The concept of uniting the 2 communities - Startups and Academia at Campus Disrupt presents the bright minds of today the knowledge of understanding the Startup ecosystem."

Sougato Ray, Associate Director, Flutura Decision Sciences and Analytics spoke about self discovery as well as non-linear growth and said, "India is at a tipping point where the business landscape is rapidly evolving, and, I believe it's the startup ecosystem that's going to catapult India to the next stage as it moves towards becoming one of the most advanced innovation hubs across the world."

Pranay Agarwal, Co-Founder & CEO, RoboCraze.com mentioned that as a startup one should constantly think, innovate and fabricate to grow, especially in the ecommerce world.

On similar lines, Gomathi Sankar, co- founder and CEO, Mocept said, "As a startup it is important to identify our opportunities, our competition and most importantly understand our users."

Arvind Pani, Co- Founder and CEO, Reverie discussed about value creation and importance of growing into multilingual parallel for business. Mahesh Gidwani, CEO, Drivekool.com and Yuvaraj Thanikachalam, founder and MD, HungryBells.Mobi said the most important step for setting up a startup apart from the idea is that one needs to be well acquainted with the market they are entering into.

StartupCuration demonstrated an effective partnership between B- Schools and start-up ecosystems with an aim to deliver a compelling value proposition to the market. A culture which they ideally want to build on curiosity and exploration of the new was shown through this event.
