Bengaluru: Siddaramaiah kissed by a female fan in public event

Bengaluru, June 26: During a state-level program of Kuruba Community on Sunday, June 26, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was kissed by a female fan at Palace Ground, Bengaluru.

The incident happened at around 12.30 pm when Siddaramaiah was distributing prize to Panchayat member of Karnataka.

Everyone present on stage was stunned witnessing the move by the lady. Just after receiving prize from Siddaramaiah, Girija Srinivas, a panchayat member from Chikkamagaluru kissed the CM.

This grabbed the attention of media hugely. However later Girija issuing clarification said "I kissed Siddaramaiah out of happiness and an excitement of meeting him first time in my life and as we both belong from same Kuruba community (community traditionally known for shepherding and farming). It was like expressing love of a daughter to her father.

According to report, Siddaramaiah too clarified saying "the woman who kissed me is equivalent to my daughter age and there is no such issue."
