Bengaluru’s Namma Metro Yellow Line Faces Yet Another Delay – When Will It Finally Open?
Bengaluru's much-awaited Namma Metro Yellow Line has hit another roadblock, adding to the frustration of commuters who have been waiting for years. This time, the delay is due to the late arrival of train sets, pushing the launch even further.
The Yellow Line, connecting R V Road to Bommasandra, is expected to be a game-changer, especially for those commuting to Electronic City. However, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has kept people waiting for the past four to five years, with one delay after another.

Where Are the Trains?
The train sets for this route were manufactured by Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd in partnership with CRRC, China. The first train was unveiled on January 7, and BMRCL had promised that at least one set would reach Bengaluru by the end of January. But here we are in February, and the train is still nowhere to be seen.
Latest updates suggest that the train, which left Kolkata by road, might take another week to reach Bengaluru, possibly arriving by February 10.
When Will the Yellow Line Be Ready?
Even after the train arrives, it's not going to be an instant launch. Testing and trials will take at least 20 days to a month, meaning that anyone hoping for the line to open by March-end may be in for more disappointment.
With every delay, excitement turns into frustration. For thousands of Bengalureans, this metro line could make daily commutes easier and faster. But with deadlines constantly shifting, the big question remains-when will the Yellow Line finally open?
