Bengaluru’s Cubbon Road Closed For 30 Days, New Traffic Routes Announced
Bengaluru Traffic Police has announced a vehicle restriction on Cubbon Road, from Main Guard Cross Road to Dispensary Road, effective from February 2 for a period of one month.
The restriction is part of an ongoing white topping project by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) within the Shivajinagar Traffic Police jurisdiction. The closure aims to facilitate the smooth execution of the roadwork while maintaining traffic flow in the area.

Impacted Routes and Traffic Diversions
The restriction will affect key routes, including the stretch from Safina Plaza Junction to Commercial Street via Infantry Road and Cubbon Road. To ease traffic congestion and prevent disruptions, alternative routes have been provided for commuters:
Drivers heading to Commercial Street from Infantry Road and Safina Plaza should take a right turn at Infantry Road, then a left at Lady Curzon Road, followed by another left at Cubbon Road, KR Road, and Kamaraja Road.
Vehicles approaching Commercial Street from Cubbon Road and Main Guard Cross can turn left at KR Road and continue to Commercial Street via Kamaraja Road.
These diversions are designed to ensure the uninterrupted movement of traffic while the necessary infrastructure improvements are carried out.
