While the video clearly captures the altercation, the circumstances leading to the confrontation remain unclear. OneIndia could not independently verify the authenticity of the footage, and it remains uncertain who initiated the physical exchange.

The incident occurred while Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose, an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer, was on his way to the airport with his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita Dutta, who is also an IAF officer.

According to a complaint filed by Squadron Leader Dutta, a case has been registered at the Byappanahalli police station against unidentified individuals, police confirmed.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Devaraj D, spoke to PTI, stating: "This appears to be a case of road rage. An altercation occurred between the two parties, and both attacked each other. The accused has been apprehended. Around 6 am today, the Air Force officer and his wife were traveling from their DRDO quarters to Kempegowda International Airport. While his wife was driving, Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose was seated beside her. A confrontation ensued between them and a biker."

He further explained that CCTV footage from the area and videos captured by bystanders suggested that both parties could have de-escalated the situation.

"When they arrived at the police station, Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose was advised by the SHO to seek first aid as he was bleeding before filing the FIR. However, as he was in a hurry to catch his flight, he left for the airport. It was only after he went live on social media that we were made aware of the incident. We tracked down Madhumita Dutta's details and approached the DRDO quarters. She then came to the police station to file the complaint. An FIR has been registered under charges of grievous hurt," the DCP added.

During questioning, the accused claimed that he was simply passing by when the woman allegedly made a remark. He said, "What are you talking about?" and approached the IAF officer to ask, "What is madam saying?" An argument then ensued, according to his version. "We have collected substantial video evidence and will proceed with the investigation," Devaraj confirmed.

Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose has alleged that he was verbally abused and physically attacked during a road rage incident by men following them on a two-wheeler. He shared a video on Instagram, describing the events and showing injuries on his face and neck, with visible bleeding.
