Bengaluru Rave Party : FIR Lists 100 Unidentified Accused Amid High-Profile Attendees Involved

In the early hours of Sunday, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Karnataka Police raided and busted a high-profile rave party at a farmhouse on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The event, titled 'Sunset to Sunrise Victory,' was reportedly attended by several high-profile persons, including Telugu actors.

The FIR, filed by the Electronic City police under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), does not name any organisers, actors, or politicians as accused, leaving the investigation wide open.

The FIR details that the rave party took place on May 19 at 11:30 PM at GR Farms in Hebbagodi, near Electronic City. The event was under the title "VASU'S BIRTHDAY" and subtitled "Sunset to Sunrise Victory." According to the police, the party disrupted public peace and tranquility, with approximately 100 to 150 men and women present, consuming and selling MDMA pills, cocaine, ganja, and other narcotic substances. Armed with a search warrant for GR Farms, the police conducted the raid.

The rave party titled 'Sunset to Sunrise Victory' at GR Farm House in Electronic City, Bengaluru, which started on Sunday evening and continued until early Monday morning, had approximately 100 attendees, with about 70% of them hailing from neighboring Andhra Pradesh.

Authorities discovered 15-20 luxury cars, including a Mercedes Benz, parked on the premises. Notably, one of the cars had an MLA pass allegedly registered to Konkani Govardhan from the Sarvepalli constituency of Andhra Pradesh. All detainees were subjected to medical examinations.

Bengaluru rave party: Five Arrested So far

On Tuesday, the CCB arrested five persons from the rave party at GR Farms in Electronic City. The arrested individuals are identified as Vasu, Arun, Siddiq, Ranadhir, and Raj Bhava. The rave party was arranged to celebrate Vasu's birthday, with his relative Arun organising the event. The other three accused were suspected of peddling drugs.

The raid reportedly occurred after the police received a tip-off about a rave party planned within city limits at 11:30 PM on Sunday night. All five accused have been sent to judicial custody and are currently placed at the Parappana Agrahara Jail. It is believed that the police will release more information as the investigation continues.

Actors Deny Involvement Amidst Social Media Rumours

Photographs circulating on social media platforms suggested that actors Srikanth Meka and Hema Kolla were also at the party. However, Hema released a video stating she was at a farmhouse in Hyderabad, calling the rumors "baseless." Despite this, it is believed that Bengaluru police have confirmed the video was posted from the same farmhouse. The police have yet to comment on her involvement in the rave party. Srikanth Meka also denied the allegations in a video, humorously noting the resemblance between him and one of the masked detainees. He emphasized that he and his family found the rumors laughable and unfounded.

Meanwhile, the arrest of Vasu, who appears to not have a criminal record in Telangana, raises questions about his role in drug distribution and organising similar events. The Bengaluru police seized 17 MDMA, cocaine and 'hydro ganja' at the party.
