Bengaluru Rape: Two Auto Drivers Drag Woman from Roadside, Rape Her Near KR Puram Railway Station
A woman was raped near KR Puram railway station in Bengaluru around 1:30 am on April 2. The victim, who had been working in Kerala and was on her way to Bihar, had just arrived at the station with her brother when the attack occurred.
As they headed toward Mahadevapura to get food, two men approached them. One restrained the victim's brother while the other dragged her to a secluded area and assaulted her. According to a police statement, two auto-rickshaw drivers sitting nearby attacked the victim's brother before one of them sexually assaulted her.

Hearing the woman's cries for help, local residents intervened and managed to catch one of the suspects, handing him over to the police. Mahadevapura police officers on night patrol swiftly arrested both auto drivers. A case has been registered at Mahadevapura Police Station.
The suspects were identified as Asif and Syed Mushar, both from Mulabagilu in Karnataka's Kolar district. Whitefield Deputy Commissioner of Police confirmed that Asif was accused of sexual assault, while Syed Mushar allegedly restrained the victim's brother.
