Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe Bomb Blast: CCTV Footage Shows Man Placing Woman's Handbag

CCTV footage capturing the explosion at Rameshwaram Café in Brookefield has surfaced, revealing the incident's precise timing at 12:55 PM. The footage suggests that a bomb detonated inside the café, leading to authorities confirming it as a deliberate bomb blast.

Police informed the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that the blast at Rameshwaram Cafe was caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), as per reports. They revealed that the IED was placed inside a bag, which was then placed inside the cafe.

Siddaramaiah, referring to the CCTV footage, stated that a man was seen placing a bag inside the cafe. Police informed the Chief Minister that apart from the IED in the bag, no other explosives were found on the premises.

The individual who placed the bag reportedly took a token from the cash counter, according to Siddaramaiah. He added that the cashier is currently being questioned.

The Chief Minister confirmed that the injured individuals, including staff members and a customer, sustained non-critical injuries.

India Today has obtained CCTV footage from Rameshwaram Cafe, capturing the moment of the blast. The footage shows servers busy at the counter before the blast, which then resulted in a white screen as smoke billowed up.

    Post-blast visuals depict people fleeing from the cafe, with some sustaining injuries such as torn clothes.

    The aftermath of the explosion has left the entire Rameshwaram Café engulfed in dust. Nine individuals have been injured in the blast and are currently undergoing treatment. Further details regarding the nature of the explosion and any potential suspects are yet to be disclosed. Authorities are actively investigating the incident.
