Bengaluru Rains: East And South East Parts Of The City Receive Light Showers

Bengaluru residents has been experiencing unexpected rain showers in the East and South East regions of the city. Neighborhoods such as Varthur, Whitefield, and Electronic City have been seeing overcast skies and intermittent light showers, providing a welcome respite from the usual weather.

These sporadic showers have infused a refreshing atmosphere in the city, revitalizing the greenery and bringing life back to the parks, gardens, and trees. Residents have been spotted taking leisurely walks, enjoying the pleasant weather, and savoring the nostalgia of monsoon seasons past.

While the monsoon has entirely withdrawn from the state, several districts in Karnataka, including Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Mandya, Mysuru, Bangalore City, Bangalore Rural, Kolar, Ramnagar, and Tumkur, is expected to witness heavy rainfall.

Heavy rain, including thunderstorms, is likely in various parts of Bengaluru and other districts of Karnataka on Sunday evening. The Karnataka Meteorological Department has issued alerts for heavy rainfall in the following districts:

• Chikmagalur
• Hassan
• Mysuru
• Bengaluru City
• Chamrajanagar
• Mandya
• Shivamogga
• Tumakuru
• Davanagere
• Ramanagara
• Chikkaballapura
• Ballari
• Chitradurga
• Kolar

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in the districts of South Kanara, Udupi, Uttara Kanara, and Kodagu. Alerts for heavy rain in the next 24 hours have been issued in these districts, and further announcements will be made.

These districts are expected to receive rainfall until November 6. If the rains are heavy, it may help alleviate the problem of water scarcity during the dry season.
