Bengaluru Power Outage Scheduled For August 22: These Areas To Be Affected

Bengaluru residents are set to experience a scheduled power outage on Thursday, August 22, from 10 am to 4 pm, as part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades and maintenance work by Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) and Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). This outage is a planned effort to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the city's power supply.

The maintenance work, which began several days ago, has already resulted in fluctuations in electricity supply across various parts of the city. The upcoming outage will impact several neighborhoods, but it is scheduled during a period when grid demand is lower, typically on weekends when most employees are off work.

The following areas will be affected by tomorrow's power interruption due to the repair and maintenance work:

Koramangala, Bengaluru South Zone:

1. Munnekollal (Divyashree Feeder):
- Time: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Reason: Erection of intermediate poles
- Affected Areas: Rajashree Layout, Gandhi Nagar, Lakshmi Layout, Silver Spring Layout

2. Munnekollal (Kadubisanahalli Feeder):
- Time: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Reason: Erection of intermediate poles
- Affected Areas: Bhuvaneshwari Layout, Munnekollal

3. HAL (Bagmane Station Feeder):
- Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Reason: HT jumps & GOS replacement
- Affected Areas: Kagadaspura Main Road, Vignanagar

4. HAL (Ayyapaswamy Temple Feeder):
- Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Reason: Tree trimming & GOS maintenance work
- Affected Areas: Islampura, As Palya
