Bengaluru Power Cuts on July 22, 23: BESCOM Schedules Power Disruption in 70+ Areas for Urgent Repairs
Residents in several parts of Bengaluru will experience power outages on July 22 and 23 due to urgent maintenance work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). The power supply will be disrupted from morning until evening in over 70 localities, including Ramaiah Layout and Soap Factory Layout. This information was provided by Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM).
On Tuesday, areas such as Vinayaka Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Shobha Apartment, and 8th Mile Road will face power cuts. Other affected locations include Narayana Layout, Vidya School, Kuvempu Nagar, Vidya Bus Stop, Reliance Fresh, Munikondappa Layout, Ashok Nagar, Vidya Nagar, Defence Colony, and Manjunath Nagar.

Power Outages on Wednesday
Wednesday's power interruptions will occur between 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM under the jurisdiction of the 66/11kV Sahakaranagar substation. Affected areas include A Block, E Block, Bellary Main Road, G Block, F Block, Talakaveri Layout, Amruthahalli, BGS Layout, Navya Nagar Block, Shabari Nagar, Byatarayanapura Jakkur Colony.
Additional regions facing disruptions are GKVK Layout, Jakkur Plantation, Yashada Nagaramruthahalli D Block. Amruthahalli B Block and C Block will also experience outages along with SQL Layout D Block and E Block. Sampigehalli and Agrahara Village are included in the list of affected areas.
Tuesday's Power Cut Areas
The power supply disruption on Tuesday will affect various localities from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM within the jurisdiction of the 66/11kV Vidya substation. Areas like Mahalakshmi Nagar and Kataraya Nagar will be impacted. Soap Factory Layout and Vijaya Lakshmi Layout are also on the list.
Other places experiencing outages include Andanappa Layout and BTS Layout. Siddeshwara Layout and Sasuveghatta are among those affected as well. Soladevanahalli partially faces power cuts along with Tarabanahalli Main Road.
BESCOM's Maintenance Work
BESCOM has announced that this maintenance work is crucial for ensuring a stable power supply in the future. Residents are advised to plan their activities accordingly during these hours to minimize inconvenience.
In addition to these areas on Wednesday, Agrahara Layout and Kogilu Layout will face outages too. Srinivaspura Jakkur is included along with VRL Road (Santhe Road), IAS Road. Arkavathi Layout is also listed among the affected regions.
The maintenance work aims to improve infrastructure reliability across Bengaluru's electricity network. BESCOM has urged residents to bear with them during this period as they work towards enhancing service quality.
