Bengaluru Power Cut on October 28: BESCOM Announces 5 Hour Outage in These Affected Areas

The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced a power outage in several parts of the city on Tuesday, October 28, due to emergency maintenance work being carried out by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).

According to BESCOM, power will be disrupted for about five hours from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the 66/11KV Puttenahalli Substation limits. The maintenance work is essential for improving the reliability of power supply in the area, officials said.

Areas to Face Power Disruption on October 28

The power outage will affect the following areas and their surroundings:
Venkatala, Palanahalli, Kattigenahalli, Century Layout, Anantapur Gate, Air Force, Marasandra, Sriramanahalli, Nelakunte, Honeyyur, Chellahalli, Karlapur Venkatala, Ramki North-1, Maruti Nagar, Prestige Nagar, Maruti Royal Gardens, Kogilu, Pooja Mahalakshmi IO, Saptagiri IO, Prakriti Nagar, Srinivasapur, Ayyappa Enclave, SN Halli, and Mylapanahalli.

Power Cut on October 27 in Bengaluru West

On Monday, October 27, parts of Bengaluru West Division experienced a power cut between 10 am and 5 pm due to scheduled monthly maintenance at the Brigade Meadows Power Distribution Centre.

The affected areas included Banjarapalya, Bhairasandra, Hosapalya, MLA Thota, Agara, Siddanapalya, Karadigudde, Abhay College, Navilu Mane, Valley School, Tataguni Colony, Salu Doddi, Lakshmipura, Vaderahalli, Navagrama, Tataguni, Chaudeshwari Nagar, Kaveri Nagar, Ramachandrappa Layout, Saluhunase, Ramesh Nagar, Uttari, Badekatte, Dinnepalya, Thimmegowdanapalya, Basappanapalya, Udipalya, O.B. Choodahalli, B.M. Kaval, Mantri Premise, and Brigade Meadows.

BESCOM's Online Services Temporarily Unavailable

BESCOM has also announced that its online services - including bill payment, name change, and new connection requests - will be unavailable from 8 pm on October 27 to 11 am on October 28 due to emergency IT system maintenance.

Consumers will not be able to access services through official portals.

Also, third-party platforms like Bescom Mitra App, Bangalore One, and Karnataka One will remain non-functional during this time.

Widespread Impact Across Karnataka

The temporary outage in online services will affect electricity supply companies across several districts including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Davangere, Tumakuru, Mangaluru, Udupi, Chitradurga, Ramanagara, Belagavi, Hubballi-Dharwad, and Kolar.

BESCOM has urged customers to cooperate during the maintenance period and plan their electricity-related activities in advance.
