Shocking! Rs 21 Crore Drugs Seized in Bengaluru, Read Details Here

The Bengaluru City Police and the Central Crime Branch, in a joint operation, seized drugs worth Rs 21 crore on Tuesday. According to the reports, the Bengaluru police seized the drugs from a Nigerian national in Bengaluru's Ramamurthy Nagar area. The accused was later identified as Leonard Okwudili, who is residing in India on a business visa.

After Slueths' success, the City Police Commissioner B Dayananda thumped their back during a media briefing stating that the contraband included 16 kg MDMA crystals worth Rs 16 crore and 500 grams of Cocaine worth Rs 5 crore.

The reports marked this raid as the biggest one in the history of the Bengaluru City Police.

According to the reports, the peddler had a plan to sell these drugs on the eve of the new year to college students across the city at different venues. As per the police officials, the drugs were procured from suppliers from different states like Delhi and Mumbai using postal services and public transport. The accused told the police that he was used to hide drugs bedspread packings, soap boxes, and chocolate boxes to transport them.

The police have also summoned the owner of the house from where the drug seller has been nabbed to collect more information about the accused and people associated with him.

According to the report, the police have filed the case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against the Nigerian national.

Earlier, the Bengaluru police nabbed 11 accused, of which, five were foreign nationals while peddling MDMA and cannabis. Drugs worth Rs. 1 crore were reported to be seized.
