Bengaluru Palace VVIP Wedding: Shivrajkumar, BS Yediyurappa Bless Lahari Velu's Son Sai and Diya

The iconic Bengaluru Palace recently witnessed one of the most high-profile weddings of 2026 as Sai, Lahari Velu is also known as Tulsi Ram Naidu, married Diya in a ceremony marked by tradition and grandeur.

The celebration brought together leading figures from Sandalwood, Karnataka politics and the business community, turning the venue into a gathering of some of the state's most recognised personalities.

The Kannada film industry was strongly represented at the event. Among those present were Shivrajkumar, Upendra and Jaggesh.

Other guests included Vinay Rajkumar, Akul Balaji, Neenasam Satish and Reshma Nanuayya. Veteran actress Dr. Jayamala and several senior members of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce were also seen congratulating the couple.

Political leaders mark presence

The wedding also drew prominent political leaders. Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa attended the ceremony, along with Member of Parliament D. K. Suresh and MLA Munirathna. Their presence reflected the Lahari family's wide network across sectors.

Lahari Velu's long association with cinema

Lahari Velu has been associated with the music and film industry for over 36 years. Through Lahari Music, the company has acquired audio rights to thousands of songs across Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema, playing a significant role in the distribution of film music.

Apart from business, Velu is known as a playback singer and has also appeared in films such as Goli Soda and Mass Leader.

The wedding featured elaborate floral décor and traditional rituals, followed by a reception attended by guests from across Karnataka. For the Lahari family, the occasion marked a personal milestone, while for the state's film and political circles, it became a notable social gathering of the year.
